By using Caption Confidence, you agree to these terms.

Use

You may use the extension with caption files and page tracks you are allowed to access. Do not use it to bypass access controls, DRM, or site restrictions. The software is provided under the MIT License.

Not medical or transcription advice

Caption Confidence highlights exact user-selected words and caption-file timing patterns. It does not diagnose hearing loss, assess a speaker, verify transcription accuracy, or generate captions. Important information should be checked against an authoritative source.

Supporter purchase

The $12 supporter unlock is a one-time purchase for optional appearance profiles. Core caption import, emphasis, timing flags, settings, and replay remain free. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record. Taxes, receipts, and eligible refunds are handled by the merchant; a refund revokes the associated license.

Availability

Websites can change their video players, and protected streams may not expose captions. We do not promise compatibility with every site. The software is provided “as is,” without warranties, to the extent allowed by law.
